Job description

  • Provisioning, configuring, and monitoring containerized workloads and database solutions across Dev, Test, and Live environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Helm.
  • Packaging and hardening applications into containers; assist with upstream synchronization, vulnerability remediation, and documentation updates for Big Bang and Iron Bank packages.
  • Supporting Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines, managing container registries and GitOps workflows.
  • Resolving operational incident escalations, troubleshoot functional/performance issues, and assist with zero-downtime release deployments., * Implementing service-mesh (Istio) configurations, custom Helm charts, Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), and custom admission controllers.
  • Overseeing 100% compliance and security postures for assigned Platform One/Big Bang packages, ensuring successful release branch merges and upstream syncs.
  • Designing network connectivity, zero-downtime deployment strategies, and multi-region failover/failback procedures.
  • Leading technical tasks within Agile teams, contribute to capacity planning and demand forecasting, and provide direct technical mentorship to junior/mid-level engineers.
  • Functioning as a technical expert across the team and tasks, * Architecting elastic, cost-effective, resilient cloud foundations using loosely coupled designs across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Designing multi-datacenter Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, zero-downtime architectures, and complex data protection/auditing frameworks.
  • Assessing and establishing strategic RBAC standards, platform security policies, and continuous compliance frameworks across all enterprise Kubernetes clusters (including Iron Bank).
  • Providing top-tier technical authority across Platform One infrastructure and innovation teams, shape long-term capacity forecasts, and make critical architectural decisions.
  • Providing technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years of cloud/container engineering experience
  • Experience working on DevSecOps teams
  • Experience with cloud systems, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, by supporting deployments and architecture setups
  • Experience with Helm Charts
  • Understanding of each component of Kubernetes control plan
  • Security and compliance knowledge for Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of Linux and networking
  • CKA Certification highly desired, * 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with Kubernetes/containers
  • Experience working on DevSecOps teams
  • Strong experience with infrastructure tools like Helm, Docker, and Terraform
  • Experience with Istio
  • Security and compliance knowledge for Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of multiple cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experience in building automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux and networking
  • Experience with Helm Charts
  • CKA Certification, * 8+ years of relevant experience
  • 7+ years of experience working with Kubernetes/containers
  • 3+ years of experience providing technical guidance to other engineers
  • Experience on DevSecOps teams
  • Expertise with infrastructure tools like Helm, Docker, and Terraform
  • Expertise with Platform One tools
  • Knowledge of multiple cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Expertise with Istio
  • Deep knowledge of security and compliance for Kubernetes
  • Strong experience in building automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
  • Extensive expertise of Linux and networking

Benefits & conditions

Mid - $110,000.00 - $160,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset Senior - $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 commensurate on experience and technical skillset SME - $180,000.00 - $220,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset

About the company

Dark Wolf is seeking multiple levels of Kubernetes Engineers to provide technical leadership in designing, building, and maintaining elastic, secure, and resilient cloud foundations. The Kubernetes Engineers will architect multi-cloud and hybrid environments (EKS/Fargate, AKS, GKE, or self-hosted), drive GitOps-based CI/CD pipelines, and sustain critical platform initiatives-including Iron Bank and Big Bang integrations. You will lead technical teams, implement zero-downtime and disaster recovery strategies, and enforce strict security, compliance, and RBAC policies across all operational environments. The Kubernetes Engineers will operate in a hybrid capacity out of any of our Dark Wolf offices.
