Senior MISP Engineer & Lead Developer

• Lead the technical design, development, testing, and documentation of the CSISS/MISP platform for NCSC. Serve as the primary technical authority for the engagement.

Role Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and document the MISP system architecture aligned to NATO security requirements
• Develop, extend, and customise the MISP platform codebase (Python/PHP)
• Build and maintain automated test suites using pytest and Robot Framework
• Integrate REST APIs and NATO PKI authentication into the MISP platform
• Produce and maintain technical documentation to NCIA standards
• Manage version control (Git) and code review processes
• Liaise with NCSC technical staff and NCIA Contracting Officer on scope and acceptance
• Provide technical mentoring to Data Engineer where required

Do you have experience in Test automation?, * MISP (Malware Information Sharing Platform) - platform administration and customisation

• Python development - including PyMISP library
• LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL/MariaDB, PHP)
• REST API design and integration
• Automated testing: pytest and/or Robot Framework
• Git / version control and CI/CD pipelines
• NATO or government-sector IT delivery experience
• RedHat Enterprise Linux administration
• Security architecture in classified/sensitive environments
• Technical documentation to formal standards (ISO/IEC or NATO equivalent)
• Threat intelligence platforms and STIX/TAXII data formats

Desirable Skills, Experience and Certifications

• ISTQB Foundation Level (test automation evidence)
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent baseline security certification)
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) or equivalent offensive security awareness

Language Proficiency

• Fluent in English, * Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance

Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS)

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO’s principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V.

To provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance-engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorise’s: NATO International Civilians (NIC)’s, Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)’s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.
