Job description

Review and action findings from a detailed assessment of the Azure platform estate carried out by a consultant.
Remediate identified issues and implement recommendations to improve the Azure platform.
Manage, monitor, maintain and optimise the Azure and hybrid infrastructure once the initial remediation work is complete.
Develop and maintain Terraform/IaC solutions and automate infrastructure changes.
Support VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory and on-prem infrastructure .
Troubleshoot platform issues, resolve incidents and drive ongoing platform improvements.

Requirements

Strong hands-on enterprise Azure experience across Compute, Networking, Storage, Entra ID and Security.
Proven Terraform/Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience.
Strong VMware vSphere/ESXi administration experience.
Solid Windows Server and Active Directory knowledge.
Experience managing and supporting hybrid Azure/on-prem environments .
Strong troubleshooting, incident resolution and production support experience.

About the company

VIQU is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join a major enterprise customer in Birmingham. The environment is approximately 75% Azure/25% on-prem, with a strong focus on Azure, VMware and Terraform/IaC.
