Kforce has a client that is seeking a Azure DevOps CI/CD Architect in Boston, MA. Summary: Are you an experienced Azure DevOps leader who enjoys turning manual processes into scalable, automated solutions? We’re seeking a hands-on architect to lead a major DevOps modernization initiative and build a secure, repeatable CI/CD framework from the ground up. Duties:

  • Assess the current environment and define the future-state Azure DevOps architecture and roadmap
  • Design and implement reusable CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines and YAML
  • Automate processes across source control, testing, builds, releases, deployments, documentation, and work-item tracking
  • Configure Azure Boards to support Agile delivery, reporting, and workflow automation
  • Integrate automated testing, security scanning, approval gates, notifications, and quality checks
  • Establish standards for branching, versioning, environment promotion, release management, and DevSecOps governance
  • Develop dashboards and metrics to track deployment performance, quality, and DevOps maturity
  • Partner with engineering, QA, infrastructure, security, and business teams to drive adoption
  • Mentor development teams and create documentation that supports long-term success

Requirements

  • Microsoft Azure or Azure DevOps certifications
  • 10+ years of IT or software engineering experience, including significant DevOps, cloud, or platform engineering experience
  • 5+ years of deep, hands-on Azure DevOps experience
  • Proven success leading a transition from manual software delivery to automated CI/CD
  • Advanced experience with Azure Pipelines, YAML, Azure Boards, Azure Repos, Git, and release automation
  • Experience with Azure cloud environments and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI, or Python
  • Experience with Azure Key Vault, GitOps, or modern platform-engineering practices
  • Previous experience leading a large-scale enterprise or public-sector DevOps transformation
  • Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or other Infrastructure as Code experience
  • Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure Kubernetes Service experience
  • Strong knowledge of reusable pipeline frameworks, automated testing, security controls, and deployment governance
  • Strong leadership, documentation, troubleshooting, and mentoring skills
  • Familiarity with code-quality and security tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, Checkmarx, or Veracode
  • Ability to communicate architecture and strategy clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
