Software Developer

As an H&F embedded Software Engineer , you will be responsible for the timely development of application software for our Self Propelled Forage Harvester products. The successful applicant will be specifying, designing, and testing vehicle application and control software per CNH coding standards ., * Define the control system software requirements, software specification and software structure for vehicle applications

• Maintain, archive, and control application source code, manage SW releases
• Implement the software architecture and strategies, requirements for closed loop control algorithms, User Interface and related software control logic dealing with complex product offering
• Perform unit testing and system integration testing with the hardware and software, via simulation and on-board executions.
• Define & Execute test scenarios to verify the implemented control / monitoring strategy
• Support Product Validation and Verification Engineers as they conduct Functional and Performance testing
• Analyse and interpret field data to improve feature development and troubleshooting. (i.e. CAN traces)
• Produce documentation in support of design, implementation, and test activities

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer or similar engineering discipline
• 3-5 years of embedded software development experience using C & C# Programming language
• Experience with industry coding standards for software development such as MISRA-C
• Experience with CAN and/or LIN protocols and diagnostic tools such as Vector CANalyzer®
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and experience
• Ability to interpret & implement vehicle networking protocols
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal, * Experience using MATLAB® Simulink/Stateflow and Automatic code generation
• Experience with code debuggers, code analysis, and memory management
• Experience with automated testing (Phyton, CAPL, etc)
• Experience with SAE J1939, CAN, UDS
• Experience with Electro-Hydraulic or vehicle control systems for on/off-highway vehicle systems
• Demonstrated knowledge SW engineering systems tools such as SVN, Polarion, Azure, GIT
• Demonstrated technical leadership and organization/control skills
• Experience with network client/server architecture
• Experience with agricultural equipment and/or machines
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
