Systems Engineer

On behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet’s vital power needs we are looking for a number of Systems Engineers across both Derby and Bristol.

Due to a significant increase in demand across our business, we’re expanding our team with multiple opportunities available. These roles have been created to support a number of exciting change and transformation initiatives, while also aligning our resources to meet current and future business needsPurpose of the role:

• Extract, define, and manage technical requirements with key stakeholders.
• Lead the sub-system design and integration process using Systems Engineering principles.
• Develop and manage sub-system requirements and flow them down to Component Design and Functional Engineering teams.
• Generate and assess sub-system concepts to meet product performance, safety, and lifecycle requirements.
• Manage physical and functional interfaces between systems and sub-systems.
• Support verification and validation planning throughout the product lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, process enhancement, and knowledge capture.

• Strong Systems Engineering background within a complex engineering environment.
• Experience managing technical requirements, verification, and validation activities.
• Understanding of APQP, FMEA, and Risk Management techniques.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking capability
