£75,000 - £85,000Edinburgh / RemoteAre you a Senior Software Engineer who wants to shape a platform, not just implement against a defined design?We’re looking for a Senior Application / Platform Engineer to join a small, senior team building and evolving a complex, data-driven technology platform.This is a hands-on senior role for someone who can confidently contribute to backend architecture, system design, and technical direction - not just delivery.What you’ll be doing:Designing and building backend services, APIs, and platform capabilitiesShaping backend architecture, service boundaries, and system designContributing to ingestion pipelines, data workflows, and scalable processing patternsMaking pragmatic production trade-offs around performance, reliability, and maintainabilityDesigning application patterns around tenancy, permissions, and authenticationReviewing code and helping define engineering and AI-assisted

Requirements
