Job description
As a Data Management Policy Lawyer, you’ll focus on shaping and implementing data management policies within the public sector. Your work will play a key role in ensuring compliance and supporting the smooth operation of legal processes., * Develop and review data management policies to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory standards.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on data-related matters to internal stakeholders.
- Draft and review legal documents, agreements, and policies pertaining to data governance.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data management challenges.
- Monitor legal developments in data management and assess their impact on the organisation.
- Support training initiatives to promote awareness of data management policies.
- Assist in handling data-related disputes and investigations.
Requirements
- Solicitor or barrister fully qualified to practise in England and Wales and a strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations.
- Experience in drafting and reviewing legal documents and policies.
- Knowledge of data governance and regulatory compliance in the public sector.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
