Job description

As a Business Intelligence Consultant at BDO, you will help organisations structure, analyse and leverage their data to support strategic and operational decision-making. What will you be doing?: In this role, you will act as a Business Intelligence expert across multiple projects and clients, designing and delivering impactful BI and Data Analytics solutions while helping teams grow their capabilities. Here’s what you’ll be doing: * Collaborate with clients: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, decision-making challenges and strategic objectives.

  • Design and implement BI solutions: Develop and deploy aesthetic, intuitive and user-friendly reporting, dashboarding and analytics solutions tailored to each organisation’s needs, with a strong focus on UX/UI in BI and storytelling with data.
  • Analyse and model data: Design robust data models, ensure data quality and transform complex datasets into actionable insights.
  • Deploy BI and data tools: Work with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar platforms within modern data environments.
  • Improve decision performance: Identify opportunities to optimise reporting processes, performance management and data governance.
  • Support change and adoption: Coach and train end users to ensure strong adoption and long-term value of the implemented solutions.
  • Leverage BDO’s network: Collaborate with colleagues across Finance, IT, Risk, Strategy and other practices to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions for clients.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Tableau?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical skills with a consulting mindset and a passion for data. You bring:

  • Relevant experience: 2+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or decision support, preferably within a consulting or project-based environment.
  • Educational background: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data, Engineering, Business Economics or a related field.
  • Language proficiency: Fluent in either French or Dutch, with a very good knowledge of English.
  • Technical expertise: Strong experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik…), data modelling, SQL and data platforms, combined with a passion for designing scalable BI solutions and creating intuitive, high-quality dashboards.
  • Scalable BI development: Proven interest or expertise in scaling BI delivery through templates and accelerators, automation (including ETL, deployment and CI/CD where relevant), best practices in data modelling and governance, and AI-enabled development.
  • Business understanding: Ability to translate business needs into practical and value-driven data solutions.
  • Communication & leadership: Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Consulting skills: Strong problem-solving, project management and change management capabilities.
  • Consulting exposure: Comfortable operating as a BI expert across several projects and clients in parallel, adapting quickly to different business contexts while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Motivation: A strong desire to join a growing BI & Data team and actively contribute to its development.
