Job description

To strengthen its IT department, NN Belgium is looking for a Configurator / Integrator for SE. Our self-employed customers life insurance policy administration is currently implemented in UL3 but will migrate over the coming years to Oxygen (based on INSIS).

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, passionate about solving problems, open-minded, and flexible to apply all experiences and knowledge into new challenges along the way. You will work in a small and dynamic team, and you get energy from playing an active role in both the day-to-day evolution of UL3 and its future migration journey.

What does your job as a Configurator / Integrator for SE look like?

  • You will support and implement changes within the existing UL3 solution, which includes configuration and integration work using VBScript
  • You will be not only be supported by your team members, the UL3 team also adopted AI using Github copilot for analysis, coding and testing of changes, learning, and incident management. This means you will be able to pioneer AI techniques on a daily basis as of day one. This will boost your onboarding and learning curve and will allow you to experience the power of AI within a big enterprise
  • You will analyse and resolve incidents and investigate root causes in a structured way
  • You will translate business needs into technical requirements and workable solutions
  • You will contribute to integrations and API-related work connected to UL3 and surrounding systems
  • You will help build familiarity with UL3 data so you can support and facilitate the migration to Oxygen (INSIS)
  • You will gradually become familiar with Oxygen (INSIS) to support the transition and future system setup
  • You will execute module and integration testing and support user acceptance testing when needed
  • You will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to propose pragmatic improvements in line with timing and priorities
  • You will support infrastructure, security and lifecycle-related activities required by the different projects in a Azure Devops integrated environment

Requirements

You have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a complex IT development, configuration, integration or application support environment., * A relevant degree or equivalent experience in IT

  • Solid experience and knowledge of structured programming is required, knowledge of VBScript is a plus, but not a must
  • Knowledge of APIs and application integration principles
  • Good understanding of life insurance principles, ideally with specific knowledge of second-pillar solutions for the self-employed
  • An interest in understanding data structures and business data within UL3
  • Knowledge of INSIS is of course a strong plus
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum ways of working and collaborative tools such as Azure DevOps and AI tools is an asset
  • Strong communication skills that allow you to work effectively with your team and with other departments
  • Proven experience in application configuration, development and integration
  • A curious mindset and a desire to learn, explore and understand
  • A “Can-Do” attitude and desire to get things solved.
  • The willingness to deepen your understanding of UL3 data to support the migration
  • Professional proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus
