The successful candidate will assist the Project Manager in overseeing all aspects of project execution, with a particular focus on civil engineering works, including tunnels, shafts, dams, underground caverns, and hydraulic structures. This project will be based in Ponferrada, near Leon and we offer certain flexibility location-wise.Your Main ResponsibilitiesSupport the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing all phases of the project lifecycle.Lead and supervise civil engineering activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of civil works.Monitor construction progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies.Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and schedules.Participate in stakeholder meetings and represent the project in technical discussions with authorities and partners.Ensure quality control and adherence to contractual obligations.Assist in budget management and cost tracking related to civil components.Your profileBachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Minimum 8 years of experience in large infrastructure or hydropower projects, preferably including pumped storage.Proven experience in managing or coordinating civil works on complex construction sites with Capex > 20M Euros.Strong understanding of geotechnical, hydraulic, and structural engineering principles.Familiarity with Spanish construction regulations and permitting processes is an asset.Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a strong advantage.Strong organizational and leadership abilities.Experience with underground works (tunnels, caverns).Knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract frameworks.Ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera, MS Project, etc.).Disclaimer: Please note that applications submitted by agencies or third-party recruiters will not be considered unless the agency is part of our Preferred Supplier List (PSL).Your BenefitsCompetitive salary packageMarket-oriented salaryTraining and development: Diverse opportunities for career growthFlexible work models: Various flexible work models#J-*****-Ljbffr |
Requirements
Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in large infrastructure or hydropower projects, preferably including pumped storage. Proven experience in managing or coordinating civil works on complex construction sites with Capex > 20M Euros. Strong understanding of geotechnical, hydraulic, and structural engineering principles. Familiarity with Spanish construction regulations and permitting processes is an asset. Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a strong advantage. Strong organizational and leadership abilities. Experience with underground works (tunnels, caverns). Knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract frameworks.
