System Engineer (Dataflow & NiFi Modernization), Advisor - TS/SCI w/poly job in Annapolis

The NiagaraFiles project is currently looking for a Systems Engineer SME to help on the project with agency T&D (transfer and decommission) efforts which impact the Corp-DDS Operations team. Many of these T&D efforts generate dataflow requirements for this project that are deployed within the Corp-DDS. The SE team works to review DMR’s and assist in Engineering the final dataflow solutions the Operations team then implements. In addition, the team SE would also participate in dataflow modernization efforts migrating current flows on hardware to the virtual cloud environment. This entails evaluating the dataflow, building out requirements, then working with Operations team members in rebuilding the dataflows.

• Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph required
• Ten (10) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Desired Qualifications:

&bull Experienced with Mission Systems

&bull Experienced in performing Transfer & Decommission efforts of legacy to new systems

&bull Experienced working with mission data formats

&bull Experienced with reviewing and processing, or creating Dataflow Management Requests, DMRs

&bull Experienced with Apache NiFi functionality and building DataFlows is desired

&bull Experienced managing analytical needs and requirements

&bull Experienced in creating Systems Architectural Diagrams depicting software and system functions

Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees., $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
