Job description
We are seeking an Application Architect or Principal Engineer for the Global Financial Crimes (GFC) Control and Coverage Management (CCM) applications. This role involves overseeing solutions architecture for new application deliverables, mentoring developers on programming frameworks, and assisting with code reviews. The ideal candidate is a proficient communicator and leader who inspires developers and stays current with AI offerings., * Oversee solutions architecture for all new deliverables for the application.
- Mentor developers on correct programming frameworks and paradigms.
- Conduct code reviews and potentially transition into a feature lead role over time.
- Design, build, and optimize highly scalable, resilient, and secure applications.
- Develop REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven applications.
- Implement secure coding practices, vulnerability remediation, and application security controls.
- Lead technical implementation across multiple teams within an Agile environment.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis and remediation.
- Mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction across the organization.
- Lead enterprise modernization initiatives and legacy application transformation.
Requirements
- Expert-level hands-on full-stack development experience using Java 17+, Spring Boot, ReactJS, and enterprise application frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Security, JPA, Hibernate, and Oracle SQL.
- Advanced understanding of application performance tuning, memory analysis, JVM optimization, and database query optimization.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, SonarQube, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with containerized applications using Kubernetes/OpenShift and Helm.
- Proficiency in unit testing, integration testing, contract testing, and test automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, caching, API security, and high-availability architectures.
- Hands-on experience with OIDC, OAuth2, JWT, and enterprise identity management solutions.
- Experience implementing audit, compliance, and governance capabilities within enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of observability platforms, distributed tracing, logging frameworks, and SRE practices.
- Experience with event-streaming platforms such as Kafka or enterprise messaging solutions.
- Financial services or regulatory compliance domain experience.
