Principal IT Business Applications (Workday)

As a Principal IT Business Applications (Workday), your roles and responsibilities will include:

• Lead solution architecture for Workday and other business applications, designing scalable, secure, and integrated solutions across HCM, Finance, and related platforms.
• Own and drive the Workday program roadmap, aligning initiatives with business strategy.
• Establish program management practices covering planning, risk management, stakeholder communication, and executive reporting.
• Partner with HRIS, HR, Finance, and IT leadership to translate business needs into optimized technical solutions.
• Oversee Workday integrations and data architecture, ensuring seamless connectivity with enterprise systems and high data quality.
• Lead cross-functional teams and vendors while driving solution delivery, release management, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical solutions and customer support for internal technology projects.
• Document current-state processes and architecture, partner with business stakeholders to determine future-state solutions, and prepare implementation plans.
• Lead the technical architecture, configuration, and support of the Workday platform.

The ideal Principal IT Business Applications (Workday) professional would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:

• 12+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications.
• Significant experience working with Workday, including HCM, Benefits, and Integrations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and integration patterns, including APIs, middleware, and data flows.
• Experience managing large-scale programs using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable solution architectures and technology roadmaps.
• Experience partnering with HRIS, HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and other business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Strong Workday integration, data integrity, compliance, and system performance experience.
• Experience with Workday security administration, role-based access controls, and audit requirements.
• Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday in Sylmar, California., Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field Minimum Experience: 12+ years of Enterprise Applications experience with significant Workday experience
