Job description

Perform the calibration work packages assigned to you by using our equipment and ing the correct processes. - Responsible for fine-tuning parameters, validating control strategies, and ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability of the Motor Control Unit/ e-Drive system. - Define and conduct test plans to calibrate and validate the e-Drive system under various operating conditions and using different test setups (e.g.: e-Drive test bench, transmission test bench, chassis dynamometer, vehicle). - Perform drivability assessments (objective and subjective) with support from data acquisition systems. - Manage the calibration datasets of the software modules assigned to you. - Collaborate with different disciplines to solve roadblocks. - Interact and exchange experiences with customers, service providers, and teammates at various locations.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Simulink?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, Master’s degree in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Electronics Engineering or a related field, with a strong interest in automotive. - Valid EU driver’s license (category B). - We welcome mid-level candidates with 2-5 years’ experience and a proven track record as a powertrain calibration and/or controls engineer in e-Drive systems (EVs or hybrid vehicles), with a focus on MCU calibration. - Strong background and knowledge about e-Drive systems: electric motor fundamentals, power electronics, sensor integration and calibration, motor control algorithms, thermal management, and more. - Knowledge on the safety aspects related to working with high-voltage systems commonly found in electric vehicles and e-Drive powertrains. - Strong automotive background and knowledge of powertrain dynamics. - Good knowledge of block diagrams and Matlab/ Simulink. - Experience with calibration tools and data acquisition systems (e.g.: Vector CANape, ETAS INCA…). - Proficient in clear and effective communication in both written and spoken English, with the ability to articulate and report results comprehensively. - Flexible attitude, willing to travel abroad and to work in either Sint-Truiden or Lommel. - Goal-oriented mindset, perseverance, and a problem-solving attitude. - Independent and systematic working style. - Knowledge of programming languages (C/C++/M-script/Python) is a plus. - Experience with AVL CRETA, AVL DRIVE, AVL CAMEO, AVL SPA is a plus.
