SAP IS-U Billing Functional Lead Consultant

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a SAP IS-U Billing Functional Lead Consultant on behalf of our client in Detroit, MI. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SAP IS-U Billing and a solid understanding of end-to-end utility billing processes. This role requires someone who can independently lead functional activities, collaborate with business and technical teams, configure SAP IS-U Billing solutions, troubleshoot complex billing issues, and support testing through go-live and production., Lead SAP IS-U Billing functional activities throughout the project lifecycle. Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional solutions. Configure and support SAP IS-U Billing processes, rates, billing parameters, and related master data. Troubleshoot complex billing errors, exceptions, integrations, and production issues. Develop functional specifications and process documentation for enhancements and custom developments. Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and integration teams. Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, and data validation. Participate in cutover, go-live, hypercare, and production support activities. Provide functional guidance and knowledge transfer to project team members. Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and operational efficiency.

Strong, recent hands-on experience with SAP IS-U Billing. Excellent understanding of end-to-end utility billing processes. Hands-on experience with SAP IS-U Billing configuration and functional design. Experience handling billing errors, complex billing scenarios, and production issues. Strong experience developing functional specifications and supporting integrations. Experience with SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect management. Ability to work independently in a client-facing environment. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel to Detroit, MI, as required. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting large-scale utility transformation or SAP IS-U implementation projects. Experience with SAP and non-SAP system integrations.
