Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer with 12+ years of software development experience and strong hands-on expertise in Python, backend development, APIs, cloud technologies, databases, and enterprise application development. The ideal candidate will work closely with architects, business analysts, DevOps, QA, and other engineering teams to design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable applications., * Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Python.

Develop scalable and secure backend services, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
Work with FastAPI, Flask, and/or Django for backend application development.
Design and implement integrations with internal and external systems.
Develop efficient database queries and data-access layers.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or similar.
Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices.
Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to define technical solutions and application architecture.
Implement automated unit, integration, and API testing.
Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards and best practices.
Work with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
Develop containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Integrate applications with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with distributed development teams.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

12+ years of professional software development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Python
Excellent knowledge of Python OOP, data structures, exception handling, and design patterns
Strong experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices
Experience with FastAPI, Flask, and/or Django
Strong SQL and database development experience
Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or similar databases
Strong knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab
Experience with unit testing frameworks such as PyTest or unittest
Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Skills

Experience with AWS Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, or equivalent cloud services
Experience with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms
Experience with Redis
Experience with Celery
Experience developing event-driven and distributed applications
Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
Knowledge of application security, OAuth2, JWT, and secure API development
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps
Experience with financial services or other large enterprise environments
Experience leading or mentoring development teams, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
