Embedded Engineer

Kohler is seeking a Sr Staff Embedded Systems Engineer to lead architecture, design, and integration of advanced embedded solutions for our Manufacturing Engineering & Design organization. In this senior technical role, you’ll own complex firmware and hardware-software interfaces across kitchen, bath, and power products, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability for global manufacturing. You will guide system architecture decisions, mentor engineers, drive best practices in embedded design, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable, innovative products that reflect Kohler’s craftsmanship, design excellence, and gracious living values in a hybrid work environment., * Lead architecture, design, and implementation of embedded systems for Kohler manufactured products in collaboration with cross functional teams.

• Develop, review, and optimize firmware and low level software for reliability, performance, and manufacturability.
• Drive hardware-software integration, conduct design reviews, and guide debugging and validation activities.
• Mentor engineers, establish best practices, and champion design standards, documentation, and code quality.
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, and product management to ensure scalable, sustainable, and innovative solutions.
• Support compliance, test, and release processes to meet safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.

• Embedded C/C++ programming
• RTOS development and integration
