Job description

A client in Irvine, CA is looking for an Automation QA to work onsite 2-3 days/week. This resource will support a project by designing, developing, and maintaining automation across mobile/tablet applications, APIs, backend services, AWS/cloud components, S3, Docker/containerized services, and CI/CD pipelines.

This is a hands-on execution role for an experienced contractor who can ramp up quickly, work onsite with QE, Product, and Engineering teams, and deliver reliable automation assets that can be transitioned to the internal QE team.

Requirements

5+ years of QA experience (specifically automation)

Experience with mobile automation, specifically with Appium and Android APK’s (Physical or virtual device validation)

Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.

Strong experience with REST API automation, AWS/cloud services, S3, Docker/containerized applications, and end-to-end data validation. Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar pipeline tools.

Experience testing restaurant, retail, IoT, or device-integrated technology platforms.

Experience improving automation stability, test data strategy, reporting, and maintainability.
