Data Center Engineer II

What is the purpose of this team?

• What is driving this need? (ex. Backfill for FTE or CW, new project, business growth)

• Do you have any additional upcoming hiring needs or is this request part of a larger hiring initiative? - Positions support the Centene production datacenter in O’Fallon, MO as part of our 24/7 coverage

• Positions are approved backfill for 2x FTEs lost during 9/4 VSP

• Positions are primarily MEP support of the O’Fallon datacenter and remote support/monitoring for Remote Office network rooms (UPS / HVAC). Position will assist with escorts and IT installations as needed in the datacenter or local office network rooms

• We will have 2 additional positions coming up as part of upcoming 12/11 VSP leave

Typical Day in the Role

• Walk me through the day-to-day responsibilities and a description of the project (Outside of the Workday JD).

• What are the performance expectations/metrics?

• What makes this role unique? - Monitoring various systems throughout the day and doing rounds through the datacenter MEP areas to maintain support

• Monitor alerts from branch office equipment and work with remote staff to address issues

• We are looking for individuals that have a datacenter support background and understand electrical, mechanical gear and can work with our vendors on maintenance and repairs. These are not a “wrench in hand” position
