Information Assurance Officer

Performs official IAO responsibilities for the program. Primarily responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an information system (IS) for the Department’s Restricted Programs, working in close collaboration with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM). Maintains the overall IA posture for a restricted program. Responsibilities include physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training and awareness. In close coordination with the ISSM, plays an active role in monitoring a system and its environment of operation to include developing and updating the System Security Plan (SSP), managing and controlling changes to the information system, and assessing the impact of those changes. Trained in NIST RMF.

• Degree in business administration or a technology-related field required.
• CISSP and CCNA or MTA certifications
• Minimum of 4 -8 years of experience in a combination of risk management, information security and IT jobs.
• Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of personal integrity.
• Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate crossfunctional, interdisciplinary teams.
• Experience with contract and vendor negotiations and management including managed services.
• Specific experience in Agile (scaled) software development or other best in class development practices.
• Have and Maintain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
