Senior Backend-Focused Fullstack Engineer (.NET)

We’re seeking a Senior Backend-Focused Fullstack Engineer to own and evolve the backend foundation of our platform. You will work in a small, highly motivated dev team consisting of:

• 1 Senior Frontend Engineer
• 1 Mobile Developer
• 1 Product Owner
• You (Backend-Focused Fullstack Engineer)

This role comes with end-to-end ownership, plenty of autonomy, and the opportunity to shape our technical future across multiple international labels.

Because AI-powered features are becoming a core part of our roadmap (e.g. story generation, personalization, automation, smart content selection), experience integrating modern AI tools is a big advantage.

You will contribute directly to essential engineering and business goals:

• Improve development velocity across all our labels.
• Ensure backend scalability for a rapidly growing B2C + B2B2C ecosystem.
• Guarantee system reliability across our six microservices.
• Advance our cloud infrastructure with deep Azure expertise.
• Infuse AI capabilities into our journaling products.
• Collaborate tightly with frontend, mobile, and product to ship high-quality features quickly.
• Take ownership of architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy.

Backend Engineering (Primary Focus)

• Develop and maintain backend services in .NET/C# within our microservices architecture (currently 6 services: API Gateway, Basket, Diary, Order, Product, Shipment).
• Build efficient, secure, and well-documented RESTful APIs.
• Work with SQL Server and complementary NoSQL databases.

Azure Cloud & Infrastructure (Mandatory)

Everything runs in Azure, Azure expertise is an absolute must. You will:

• Maintain and expand our Azure-based infrastructure (App Services, Storage, SQL, Monitoring, etc.).
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure tooling.
• Guarantee performance, cost efficiency, and reliability in Azure.
• Set up and maintain observability, monitoring, and automated scaling.

Containerization & DevOps

• Work heavily with Docker.
• Manage and operate infrastructure using Kubernetes.
• Improve deployment workflows and engineering productivity.

AI Integration

• Experiment with and integrate AI tools (LLMs, embeddings, vector search, auto-summarization, content generation, etc.).
• Help shape new AI-powered journaling experiences.

Frontend Support (Secondary)

• Assist with React/Next.js integrations when needed, ensuring smooth backend-frontend interaction.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Act as a key partner to product and design.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor team members.
• Bring forward ideas that make our platform faster, stronger, and smarter.

• 5+ years experience in backend-heavy fullstack engineering.
• Expert-level .NET/C# skills.
• Strong experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure
• Strong understanding of SQL Server, plus experience with NoSQL databases.
• Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience maintaining production-grade CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in small, autonomous teams.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset - you make things happen, not wait for instructions.
• Passion for shipping high-quality, user-facing features.
