Our responsibilities include the centralized management of cloud solutions, the support of cloud projects, and the management of cloud providers, costs, and compliance requirements., As a Cloud Security & Compliance Architect, you will shape the secure and compliant use of cloud services at the DRV Bund. You will combine IT security expertise with governance and compliance issues and advise business units and executives on the secure use of modern cloud technologies.

• Advising and supporting business units and executives in the strategic planning and use of cloud services with a focus on IT security and data protection
• Designing and conducting training and awareness programs on the secure and compliant use of cloud services for subject matter experts and executives
• Cross-organizational collaboration on strategic initiatives, projects, and issues related to the cloud, IT security, and data protection
• Developing and implementing standardized cloud security policies and a governance and compliance framework for the use of cloud services, in collaboration with other subject matter experts
• Conducting cloud compliance and risk management, including reporting, assessing risks and incidents, and deriving appropriate measures and recommendations for action
• Monitoring and evaluating legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements and translating these into appropriate cloud security and compliance measures, including effectiveness monitoring, To fill this position, we will conduct interviews with shortlisted candidates.

The position requires a willingness to travel occasionally for work and to participate in training and events, including those outside of Berlin or Würzburg.

• A completed college degree (bachelor’s, university of applied sciences diploma, or equivalent), ideally in STEM fields, or a comparable qualification, such as an IT-specific certification or IT vocational training with relevant professional experience
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in the field of IT security, IT governance, or compliance, as well as experience in a cloud environment
• Strong knowledge of IT security
• Knowledge in the areas of compliance, data protection, and IT risk management is a plus
• Ideally, experience with regulatory requirements in the public sector, such as the GDPR and BSI
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and, ideally, relevant certifications, such as CCSP or CCSK (Qualifications in the aforementioned technical areas that you do not yet possess can be acquired during onboarding through targeted training and, if necessary, certifications)
• A personable, professional demeanor and clear, respectful communication at all levels-you work in a structured yet independent manner and use your analytical skills to get to the heart of complex issues
• Excellent written and spoken German skills
