AI Solutions Architect - INTL INDIA

Insight Global is seeking a Senior AI Solutions Architect for a top insurance industry client. This individual will play a pivotal role in defining and building a next-generation enterprise AI platform that enables secure, scalable, and governed adoption of Generative AI capabilities across the organization. The ideal candidate will act as both a strategic architect and hands-on engineering leader, responsible for establishing the company’s AI Gateway foundation leveraging Kong technologies, creating enterprise AI architecture standards, and enabling secure access to multiple large language model providers.

This role will lead critical initiatives involving AI routing, model orchestration, RAG frameworks, knowledge graphs, AI agents, governance, observability, and cloud-native platform engineering. The candidate will partner closely with infrastructure, cloud, security, application, data, and AI teams to design reusable AI services, establish enterprise standards, and operationalize AI capabilities at scale. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced AI and platform architect who enjoys both setting strategy and rolling up their sleeves to build enterprise-grade AI solutions from the ground up.

Day-to-Day:

• Define and drive enterprise AI platform architecture and strategy

• Design and build Allstate’s AI Gateway and Infrastructure AI platform

• Stand up, administer, and operationalize Kong Gateway, Kong Konnect, and Kong AI Gateway environments

• Architect AI routing and orchestration across multiple LLM providers

• Implement governance, security, guardrails, authentication, monitoring, and observability frameworks

• Design reusable AI services, APIs, and enterprise architecture patterns

• Support AI model deployment, production readiness, scalability, and monitoring

• Build secure RAG solutions, knowledge graph integrations, and enterprise knowledge services

• Design AI automation frameworks, AI agents, and MCP integrations

• Establish reporting, token analytics, cost governance, and AI consumption visibility

• Define API security standards and lifecycle management processes

• Deploy cloud-native AI solutions using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines

• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, security, application, data, and AI teams

• Lead architecture workshops, technical reviews, and strategic planning sessions

• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across the AI platform ecosystem

• Establish long-term governance, operating models, and enterprise AI adoption frameworks

Must-Haves:

• 10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Platform Engineering, API Management, Integration Architecture, AI Engineering, or related fields

• Experience serving as a Senior, Principal, or Enterprise Architect on large-scale initiatives

• 5+ years of hands-on Kong Gateway administration, implementation, and engineering experience

• Experience installing, configuring, administering, and supporting Kong Gateway environments

• Experience with Kong Gateway OSS/Enterprise, Kong Konnect, and Kong AI Gateway

• Experience standing up Kong environments from scratch and defining enterprise architecture strategy

• Hands-on experience designing AI Gateway and LLM proxy solutions

• Experience architecting enterprise AI platforms and AI enablement capabilities

• Experience deploying, integrating, fine-tuning, or operationalizing AI/ML models in production

• Experience integrating OpenAI and Azure OpenAI services

• Experience orchestrating multiple LLM providers

• Deep expertise in API Management, API Security, and API Lifecycle Management

• Strong expertise with REST APIs, GraphQL, Microservices, and Enterprise Integration Patterns

• Experience with OAuth2, JWT, OIDC, Identity Integration, and API Security Controls

• Hands-on Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm experience

• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar

• Experience implementing observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, etc.

• Experience with Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud

• Strong knowledge of AI Security, Responsible AI, Governance, and Risk Management

• Experience creating governance frameworks, reference architectures, and enterprise standards

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills

• Ability to remain hands-on while leading architecture, strategy, governance, and delivery efforts Plusses:

• Experience designing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures

• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, reranking, and retrieval strategies

• Experience designing or integrating enterprise knowledge graphs

• Experience with LLMOps, MLOps, AI observability, and model monitoring

• Experience with prompt management, semantic caching, response optimization, and content filtering

• Experience implementing token monitoring, cost governance, chargeback/showback reporting, and AI usage analytics

• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol)

• AI Agent and Agentic Workflow architecture experience

• Experience defining enterprise GenAI standards, operating models, and governance frameworks

• Experience implementing intelligent model routing based on latency, availability, security, and cost

• Experience with cloud-native, distributed, microservices, and event-driven architectures

• Experience supporting highly regulated enterprise environments

• Vendor management and strategic technology partnership experience

• Experience leading platform modernization and enterprise transformation initiatives
