Software Engineering & Development, VP

The team develops sophisticated electronic trading systems handling hundreds of billions of dollars in AUM. The products are built on Java, Node.js and Oracle on the server side and modern web technologies on the front end. The product suite is expanding both vertically with new features and horizontally into other businesses and new asset classes. The current platform has been re-architecture adopting microservices architecture and AWS/Kubernetes.

What you will be responsible for: *

• Work with the team to define high-level technical requirements and architecture for the back-end services.
• Develop new application features and enhance existing ones.
• Work with other teams for deployment, testing, training, and production support.
• Integration with front-end development/services.
• Ensure that development, coding, privacy, and security standards are always adhered to.

• Among all technical skills, core java knowledge and experience as well as OO design skills is preference #1; JEE including JMS, JDBC, SpringBoot 3.5/4.x, Spring Cloud, JPA/Hibernate 2/3, REST API design and implementation #2; Microservices architecture and Kubernetes, Agentic AI experience #3.
• Knowledge and experience with messaging (IBM MQ, RabbitMQ/Kafka), Distributed Caching and Concurrency (hazlecast, Redis), API gateway, and Agentic AI tools that improve the daily productivity and/or Agentic AI native implementation that enhance the product itself is a big plus.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned senior Java developer with excellent JEE, messaging and database development experience. Knowledge and experience of microservices architecture, Kubernetes and Agentic AI is highly desirable., + Great knowledge and experience with core java 17+/21/25 and JEE technologies such as concurrency including but not limited to database transactions, SpringBoot 3.2 +/3.5, JDBC/Hibernate/JPA etc.

• Strong skills with Object Oriented design and code refactoring. Good knowledge and experience of Agentic AI and its usages both in daily work and product implementation itself is highly desirable.
• Write clean and quality code.
• Great knowledge and experience with data modeling and database development (SQL, PL/SQL).
• Good knowledge and experience of microservices architecture and Kubernetes.

• Strong communication skills, time management, and work ethics. Passionate about professional software development.

• BS or Master’s degree in Science, or Engineering
• 10 years of experience, 6 years of experience as a Senior Java Application Developer or in any other occupation/title providing relevant experience

$120,000 - $202,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
