The engineer partners with IGA application developers, infrastructure teams, and operations personnel to plan, test, implement, and validate infrastructure changes that enable new functionality, integrations, releases, and operational improvements. The role maintains web and application-server components, network connectivity, and system configurations while applying ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change-management practices through ServiceNow or a comparable IT service management platform., * Administer and sustain RHEL servers supporting IGA platform operations, including installation, configuration, package and repository management, systemd service management, user and group administration, storage and file-system management, process troubleshooting, performance analysis, and log review.

  • Execute secure operating-system patching and vulnerability-remediation activities through documented maintenance procedures, including dependency assessment, maintenance scheduling, backup and rollback planning, post-change validation, and retention of operational evidence.
  • Implement and maintain Linux security controls, including file permissions, privilege management, secure remote administration, service hardening, audit logging, certificate handling, firewall configuration, and Security-Enhanced Linux policy administration.
  • Develop and maintain Bash scripts that automate health checks, log collection, file maintenance, service validation, scheduled tasks, configuration verification, deployment support, and other repeatable infrastructure-administration activities.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Apache Tomcat or comparable Java web and application-server technologies, including service startup and shutdown, application deployment, connector configuration, logging, JVM configuration, access controls, certificate management, and performance monitoring.
  • Diagnose infrastructure dependencies affecting system availability and IGA operations, including TCP/IP connectivity, DNS, routing, ports, firewalls, load balancing, Transport Layer Security, proxy connectivity, directory connectivity, authentication, scheduled jobs, integrations, and provisioning workflows.
  • Partner with application developers to translate functional requirements into infrastructure changes, evaluate technical dependencies, prepare lower-environment testing, support release implementation, and validate performance and stability following deployment.
  • Manage infrastructure incidents, service requests, change records, implementation tasks, technical work notes, configuration information, and operational evidence using ServiceNow or a comparable IT service management platform.
  • Support ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change-management processes, including impact assessment, root-cause support, implementation sequencing, approval coordination, outage communication, rollback procedures, and post-implementation review.
  • Create and maintain technical runbooks, build documentation, support procedures, recovery instructions, configuration baselines, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles suitable for operations teams and audit review., Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience.
