This role welcomes an hybrid work arrangement,applicants must be based in Spain or France or Italy and have a work permit to be considered.The Team & the Pods organization We are a team of passionate engineers distributed across the world, always eager to learn new things.We are building state-of-the-art modern applications and scale it on the cloud.We innovate to solve customers problems, focusing on high-performance implementations without neglecting the user experience.We recently moved our Product and Tech teams to a pod model:A pod is a small group, 1 to 4 people, that owns a single mission end to end: from scoping and building through cleaning, enablement and watching adoption.Pods form around a mission and dissolve when it’s done.Everyone is a pod owner, from the most junior person to the most senior, because ownership is the point.Your domain is your product-area home, the part of our software suite you know best.Pods change with every mission; your craft and your domain don’t.The role We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to shape Discover, the part of our software suite where brands monitor their presence and their competitors’ presence, analyse and benchmark their performance and uncover what’s driving it.Among monitoring and reporting features, we’re currently bringing to life many AI-led features and advanced analytics capabilities that allow our customers to see how their brand is performing across media, influencers, celebrities and more, with Media Impact Value (MIV) at its heart.This role plays a key part in our Tech & Product strategy, directly supporting company-wide objectives around customer retention, data trust, and the development of new AI-based insights.What you’ll doContribute to building new features from initial architecture choices to the marketable product impulsing innovative solutions and the most recent technologiesCollaborate with team members to maintain and improve existing features by fixing defects and doing continuous refactors to modernize the technical stack and reduce the overall architecture complexityAct as a Frontend expert, leveraging deep expertise in React and Redux, to guide the team with valuable insights, improvements, and suggestions on best practices regarding frontend codeArchitect efficient database schemas for new implementations or contribute to improve existing onesWork closely with product management, designers and QA to define user requirements and translating them into reliable, intuitive featuresEvangelize code quality through writing well-architected, structured code, unit tests, while following best industry practicesBe a driver of AI-led improvements across our tech stack, documentation, tooling, and organizationRefactor, optimize and constantly drive for improved efficiency and code health and reduced complexityTechnical StackLanguages: TypeScript, Python, JavaDatabase & Data Platform: Databricks, MySQL, RedisCloud providers: AmazonMain AWS technologies: Lambda, Docker on ECS/Fargate, Step functions, Kinesis, SQS, SNS, S3Tools: Jira, Sentry, VSCode, …Versioning tool: Git, GithubCI/CD: Github actions, JenkinsTesting: Jest, React Testing LibraryWhat we’re looking forEngineer Degree - Requirements
