Job Description - ADAS Model-Based Software Development EngineerRecuerde revisar su CV antes de enviar la solicitud.Además, asegúrese de leer todos los requisitos relacionados con este puesto.Location: SpainEmployment Type: Contract / Full-TimeWork Mode: Onsite / Hybrid, based on project requirementsPosition OverviewWe are looking for an ADAS Model-Based Software Development Engineer to join the ADX Development team.The engineer will be responsible for developing software models in MATLAB/Simulink based on product and system requirements defined by high-level stakeholders.The role involves contributing to feature architecture, functional design, software development, and validation activities while collaborating with subsystem architects, system teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders involved in ADAS feature development.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain MATLAB/Simulink models based on product and system requirements.Translate high-level system requirements into functional software models and control logic.Support the definition and refinement of ADAS feature architecture.Collaborate with subsystem architects, system team leads, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams.Participate in the functional design and development of ADAS features.Develop software components using Model-Based Software Development (MBSD) methodologies.Perform unit-level validation of functional and software modules.Define and execute test cases to verify software functionality against requirements.Contribute to overall feature-level validation and system integration activities.Analyze test results and troubleshoot software/model-related issues.Support debugging, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.Ensure models and software components meet functional, performance, quality, and safety requirements.Prepare technical documentation related to software development, testing, and validation.Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement activities.Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Professional experience in software development for automotive or embedded systems.Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Software Development.Strong software development experience with one or more of:CC++PythonMATLAB/SimulinkExperience translating system/product requirements into software models.Knowledge of software unit testing and validation methodologies.Understanding of software development lifecycle and verification/validation processes.Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.ADAS / Automotive ExperienceExperience in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) or automotive software development is highly preferred.Knowledge of automotive control systems and functional architecture.Understanding of ADAS features such as:Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)Lane Departure Warning (LDW)Traffic Sign RecognitionParking AssistanceCollision AvoidanceFamiliarity with automotive development processes and standards such as ASPICE, ISO *****, and functional safety principles is an advantage.Preferred Technical SkillsMATLAB / SimulinkStateflowC / C++PythonModel-Based DesignModel-Based Software DevelopmentSoftware-in-the-Loop (SIL)Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL)Unit TestingRequirements EngineeringFunctional ValidationSystem IntegrationEmbedded Software DevelopmentAutomotive Communication Protocols such as CAN/CAN FDGit or other version-control systemsKey Responsibilities - Architecture & CollaborationWork closely with subsystem architects and system team leads to understand functional requirements.Support feature architecture definition and ensure alignment between system and software levels.Coordinate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders during feature development.Participate in technical reviews and resolve design-related issues.Ensure traceability between requirements, design, implementation, and validation.Experience3+ years of experience in automotive software development, Model-Based Software Development, embedded software, control systems, or ADAS development.Language RequirementsEnglish: Good professional working proficiency.xqysrnhSpanish: Preferred / advantageous depending on project requirements.Key Skills / ATS KeywordsADAS Model-Based Software Development MBSD MATLAB Simulink Stateflow C C++ Python Embedded Software Automotive Software ADAS Development

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Professional experience in software development for automotive or embedded systems. Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Software Development. Strong software development experience with one or more of: C C++ Python MATLAB/Simulink Experience translating system/product requirements into software models. Knowledge of software unit testing and validation methodologies. Understanding of software development lifecycle and verification/validation processes. Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams. ADAS / Automotive Experience Experience in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) or automotive software development is highly preferred. Knowledge of automotive control systems and functional architecture.
