Electrical Engineer - Hardware Design and TestingJob

• Design and develop electronic hardware and assemblies for aerospace and small satellite applications.
• Perform electrical testing, including functional tests, performance checks, and reliability assessments of hardware.
• Debug and troubleshoot electronic systems and components to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
• Collaborate closely with PCB layout engineers to ensure optimal board designs that meet electrical, mechanical, and environmental requirements.
• Create and refine wire harness designs, including connector selection, routing, and documentation for flight hardware.
• Conduct verification and validation activities to confirm that electrical systems meet design specifications, handling requirements, and mission needs.
• Support integration of electronic hardware into larger systems, ensuring compatibility with sensors, instrumentation, and spacecraft subsystems.
• Document designs, test procedures, and results in a clear and organized manner to support configuration control and future maintenance.
• Work with cross-functional teams in engineering and manufacturing to resolve issues and improve product quality and reliability.
• Adhere to flight hardware handling requirements and industry best practices to maintain safety, reliability, and compliance.

• Ability to interface effectively with PCB layout, including understanding of board-level design constraints and best practices.
• Wire harness design experience, including familiarity with connectors, cabling standards, and routing considerations.
• Experience working with flight hardware handling requirements in an aerospace or similar high-reliability environment.
• Aerospace experience preferred, particularly in small satellites, space-based instrumentation, or related systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Background in working with miniaturized sensors or complex instrumentation is beneficial.
• Experience supporting verification and validation efforts for electronic systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with ground-based and space-based instrumentation and remote sensing concepts is advantageous.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing functions.
• Strong documentation skills for design records, test plans, and test reports.
