Data Engineer

• Review existing procurement workflows and technology across multiple business areas, identifying opportunities to simplify, improve, and standardize operations.
• Establish scalable, enterprise-wide procurement practices and help define the future operating model.
• Work closely with business and technology leaders across Procurement, Finance, IT, Operations, HR, and Accounting to translate business needs into process and system requirements.
• Assess existing platforms and identify new technology, automation, and AI solutions that can improve procurement capabilities.
• Help evaluate, select, and implement enterprise applications, including ERP, procurement, inventory, work management, and related business systems.
• Establish performance benchmarks and KPIs to measure operational improvements and technology outcomes.
• Build business cases, transformation plans, project roadmaps, and implementation strategies for new initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional project execution, proactively managing priorities, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Coordinate with technology vendors, implementation partners, and external consultants throughout delivery.
• Partner with change management and training teams to drive successful adoption of new tools and processes.
• Evaluate results following implementation and identify opportunities for continued optimization.
• Assist with technology and process integration associated with acquisitions, including assessment and post-close planning.
• Ensure solutions support appropriate governance, controls, compliance, and audit requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a comparable discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience spanning procurement, business transformation, process improvement, or enterprise technology.
• At least 5 years leading complex procurement, finance, or business systems transformation initiatives.
• Strong experience evaluating current-state operations and designing future-state processes across complex organizations.
• Hands-on experience with ERP, procurement, supply chain, or related enterprise platforms.
• Experience leveraging automation and emerging technologies, including AI, to improve business processes.
• Solid understanding of procurement operations, inventory management, purchasing, and related workflows.
• Experience developing measurable KPIs and using data to evaluate transformation outcomes.
• Ability to lead initiatives across both business and technology teams.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Preferred Experience

• Graduate degree or relevant professional certification.
• Background within construction, engineering, manufacturing, industrial services, or another project-driven environment.
• PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar transformation/process improvement credentials.
• Exposure to M&A assessments and integration initiatives.
• Familiarity with formal organizational change and adoption practices.
• Experience overseeing third-party technology vendors, consultants, or implementation partners.
