Job description

Our team is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to help build next generation metrics and drive business analytics for Same Day Selection. Our team owns modeling the speed store assortment across SSD, RSR+ and Grocery banners. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for development of new deep dive analytics tools as well as driving the strategy on data visualization for the group. You will own the development and support of key business metrics while continuing to raise the bar for creating scalable, efficient, and automated processes for large-scale data analysis., Write expert-level SQL that extracts actionable insights from some of the world’s largest datasets

  • Dive deep to help drive key business decisions through data insights and improve a wide range of internal products
  • Own the design and development of automated solutions for recurrent reporting and in-depth analyses including learning, publishing, and managing our operational business metrics decks
  • Drive continuous improvement of our analytical processes by automating, scaling, and simplifying self-service support for our customers
  • Invent new ways to explore our data and work with Product Managers to identify opportunities and transform business problems into defined data and reporting requirements

Requirements

2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
  • Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree, or Advanced technical degree
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
  • Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
