Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer you apply Systems Engineering (SE) processes and techniques on NPI projects within Xtrac. You work with customers and other engineering teams to create and manage the SE deliverables required to develop our complex, multi-domain transmission systems. You assist in the development and implementation of new SE methods and tools.

Core Accountabilities

• Undertaking SE activities across the product lifecycle for all types of Xtrac projects.
• Managing your workload and coordinating with the project teams to ensure that project deliverables are generated in a timely manner and to the quality required.
• Checking and reviewing SE artifacts as required.
• Participating in personal development reviews.

Qualification & Experience

• You will have experience in undertaking Systems Engineering activities for multi-disciplinary projects within a relevant industry environment (e.g. automotive, aerospace, defence), including requirements management, architecture definition, FMEA, FFA, DVP, etc.
• Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering is preferred.
• Overview on ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 is an added advantage.
• BSc or BEng in Systems Engineering or relevant discipline
• A working knowledge of requirements management in ALM/PLM and of system architecture tools is required (such as Polarion, Teamcenter, DOORS, Enterprise Architect, Capella, etc).
• You will have good communication skills and have demonstrated the ability to manage workload.

Where this role could take you

• You will develop workload management and communication skills within a fast-moving engineering environment.
• You will further develop your range of SE skills and product knowledge in both motorsport and HPA transmissions.
• The role could lead to a position as Senior or Principal Systems Engineer.
