TSB | Database Manager | Grade E | CIO | Edinburgh |12 Month Fixed Term Contract

The Database Manager in the Infrastructure Operations & Service delivery team supports Senior Technical Operations Managers in the delivery of both customer and colleague facing technology to the Bank. Providing expertise, support and administration to plan, implement, maintain and administer infrastructure and platforms to support TSB’s business processes, this role is responsible for supporting the end to end operation.

• Understanding of a microservice architecture in an enterprise and customer facing environment
• Strong operational experience across all processes in a highly demanding environment supporting live customer systems
• Deep understanding of middleware components deployed in an enterprise, shared service, manner. Preferably, in a financial services context.
• Technical background and understanding of Middleware, enterprise message bus, java application layers, application security, authentication technologies deployed on Tibco Middleware.
• Technical Background of Oracle Database layer on Exadata Machine, ideally as a DBA.
• Working knowledge of APM Tooling (Dynatrace and Elastic Search)
