Coordinated Early Intervening Services Data Monitoring Specialist (IO)

Performs a variety of professional duties required to support the data management process related to compliance with the Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CEIS) grant-funded program requirements, to include systematic intervention data collection, data analysis, and data reporting; serves as a resource and a liaison to provide guidance and support to staff and faculty serving students under the grant-funded program; promotes effective communication, implementation, and consistency across the participating areas of the organization., 1. Performs a variety of professional duties in support of meeting the instructional and financial requirements of the assigned educational grant-funded program.

1. Supports the execution of the divisionwide implementation plan and develops supporting communication and resources for staff.
2. Advises participating staff and faculty of the data collection methods required for each student serviced under the program to comply with program requirements and funding criteria.
3. Develops and manages training materials and provides professional development for participating instructional staff and faculty on program parameters related to data collection, billable time, implementation of approved interventions, appropriate documentation of services provided, and the prescribed timeframes for reimbursement submissions.
4. Develops, manages, verifies, and maintains the use of data collection tools and adheres to critical timelines.
5. Collects, analyzes, and consolidates data for reporting and reimbursement purposes.
6. Maintains current working knowledge of the guidelines and requirements of the educational grant-funded program and serves as the main resource for professional staff working under the grant.
7. Maintains current knowledge of instructional best practices.
8. Supports collaboration with other departments as applicable and provides recommendations as necessary.
9. Monitors progress through the data recorded on serviced students to meet the requirements of the program and reimbursement criteria.
10. May participate in assessing intervention success.
11. Conducts data and trending analyses for the purpose of improving instruction.
12. Conducts compliance monitoring and compliance reviews of student records and intervention/instructional practices.
13. Participates in any audit process and any consequential corrective action plan.
14. Utilizes technology and associated tools required to enhance the data management process.
15. Performs related duties as required or assigned.

• Master’s degree.
• Four (4) years of experience teaching in a related specialty, some of which may have been in a supervisory or administrative role.
• Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
• Postgraduate educational license with endorsement(s) designated as appropriate to the assignment.
• Knowledge of FCPS curriculum, instructional goals, procedures, and practices in field of specialization
• Knowledge of growth and development and learning theory in specialty.
• Knowledge of tiered intervention practices and research-based interventions.
• Knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices related to the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of statistical and/or instructional data.
• Skill in assessment and evaluation of students with special needs or in special programs.
• Skill in teaching adult learners.
• Ability to manage curriculum development, in-service training, and related activities and provide a high level of instructional leadership for teachers and administrators.
• Proficiency in the utilization of computer technology as a tool for collecting and analyzing data.
• Excellent human relations skills and ability to establish and maintain a successful cooperative working relationship with appropriate school communities, and school-based and central office staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Preferred

• Endorsement in administration and supervision PreK-12.
