IT Application Administrator in the Campus Management Team (Computer Science, E-Government, Administrative Informatics, Business Informatics)

• Planning and implementing new requirements in the area of campus management, implementing the Online Access Act, ePayment, digital student and exam records, and doctoral student management
• Independent technical development and providing subject-matter expertise to the administration in the areas of admissions and student management
• Mapping necessary technical processes (workflows) and programming rules (e.g., using JavaScript)
• Creation and further development of document templates
• Configuration and testing of new features and software versions, and support for end users (e.g., staff in the Student Affairs Office, students), * Current performance evaluation or employment reference (no older than three years),
• if applicable, proof of a severe disability or equivalent status,

• A college degree (bachelor’s or equivalent) in computer science, e-government, administrative informatics, business informatics, media informatics, media systems, or a comparable field of study, or equivalent skills and experience, in each case with relevant professional experience in the areas of responsibility of the advertised position, or
• Completed vocational training in a recognized IT profession or equivalent skills and experience, in each case with 4 years of relevant professional experience in the areas of responsibility of the advertised position

Desirable

• Experience working with campus management systems (preferably HISinOne)
• Knowledge of the technical administration of campus management systems as well as their integration with the business processes of the departments that use them
• Knowledge of web administration and programming (JavaScript, XML, LibreOffice, SOAP) as well as experience with database systems (PostgreSQL)
• Strong analytical thinking skills, as well as the ability to independently map complex administrative processes technically and further develop them in collaboration with the academic departments
• Very good command of the German language, both spoken and written, as well as good English skills (written and spoken)

The IT Service Center (ITSC), with its current staff of approximately 40 employees, provides central IT services (infrastructure and applications) for the entire university. As a member of the “Campus Management Systems” team, you will be responsible for the setup, configuration, testing, and further development of the HISinOne software. Your primary focus will be on admissions and student management, as well as contributing to the project to implement doctoral student management in HISinOne.
