MES/Automation Engineer II/III

• Lead MES Recipe and Workflow Authoring for drug product manufacturing processes in a GMP environment.
• Support MES system implementation, including architecture, platform components, and interfaces to SAP, LIMS, and Automation.
• Deploy Rockwell PharmaSuite MES across new and existing suites, processes, and products.
• Ensure integration of PharmaSuite with existing computerized systems in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
• Provide floor implementation support, hypercare training, and troubleshooting for plant operators.
• Troubleshoot automation issues and support plant operations.
• Support development and lifecycle management of PharmaSuite, DeltaV, and PI.
• Contribute to long-range Automation and MES strategy.
• Develop and maintain requirements, functional, and design specifications, as well as guidelines for automation systems.
• Assist in automation capital engineering projects for facility, operational, site, and process improvements.
• Promote a values-driven culture focused on people.
• Ensure safety, quality, compliance, efficiency, and sustainability across engineering, automation, and cGMP operations.

• BS in a technical discipline, Engineering preferred, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• 4+ years in MES design, development, testing, and delivery, preferably with Rockwell PharmaSuite.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturing.
• Experience with DeltaV, PI, and Ignition preferred.
• Computer Systems Validation experience aligned to GAMP5 and FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
• Capital project, start-up, and manufacturing support experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and management updates.
• Experience with Agile or LEAN.
• Ability to manage commitments and pursue continuous improvement.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and changing timelines.
• Customer focus and collaborative team approach.
• Results orientation with resiliency, ownership, and drive.

Education Requirements:

BS in a technical discipline, Engineering preferred.

Eliassen Group seeks an MES/Automation Engineer II/III to support our client, a genetic medicines biotech, on a 6-month contract. The role will focus on Rockwell PharmaSuite design, implementation, configuration, maintenance support, and validation within GMP manufacturing. The engineer will also support DeltaV, PI, and Ignition systems and will contribute to MES Master Recipe development and long-range automation strategy for clinical and commercial manufacturing. The position collaborates with cross-functional partners in IT, supply chain, process development, manufacturing operations, quality, validation, and finance.

Rate: $100.00 to $125.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
