Network Security Engineer (SOC)

• Managing and supporting enterprise firewall environments

• VPN, We are partnering with a leading organisation within the defence and technology sector to appoint a Network Security Engineer to join our 24/7 Security Operations capability in Stevenage. This is an opportunity to work within a highly secure environment, defending critical infrastructure and supporting advanced security operations across a complex enterprise network. You will join a team responsible for monitoring, protecting and improving security systems while investigating threats, responding to incidents and helping strengthen cyber resilience. The package includes a salary circa £50,000, shift allowance, annual bonus, generous pension contributions, paid overtime, up to 15 flexi leave days, enhanced family benefits, subsidised meals and free parking.

• Experience within a SOC, Network Security or Cyber Security function
• Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, Routing, Switching and DNS
• Firewall administration experience across Palo Alto, Cisco or Check Point
• Understanding of IDS/IPS technologies
• Experience supporting VPNs, SSL/TLS and MFA solutions
• Exposure to network monitoring platforms such as PRTG or Nagios
• Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be eligible for DV Security Clearance and hold British Citizenship
