Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Information Assurance Officer to join our Virtual School team. This role is crucial in ensuring effective data systems are in place and used accurately to support high-quality Personal Educational Plans (PEPs) and data returns, leading to improved outcomes for vulnerable cohorts of children. The Information Assurance Officer will provide specialist support for data and associated systems/databases, ensuring the availability of accurate management information and analysis that supports business planning and service development. The role also involves direct contact to collect data from young people /care leavers to update data monitoring systems. The role also includes conducting data processing and consistency checks, offering advice and training to data and system users, and building relationships with system and data users/partners/suppliers to enhance service provision. You will need to have the following: - Specific Qualifications and Experience:

• HND Level qualification or relevant equivalent evidenced experience.
• ICT qualification (e.g., ITIL Foundation) or relevant equivalent evidenced experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced knowledge of excel and the ability to produce reports and carry out analysis or scrutinise data for accuracy against given criteria.
• Knowledge of data protection regulations.
• Experience in inputting data and cross checking for accuracy
• Interpreting data reports and producing clear summarised information.

• Ability to work independently, planning ahead to manage a fluctuating workload, within system upgrades and developments, and responding to support requests.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts into accessible language for non-specialists and present data analyses and reports to senior officers.
• Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement in data quality and system functionality.
• Adaptability to changing technologies and processes, staying updated with the latest data management practices and tools.
• Customer-focused, child centred approach especially when working in direct contact with young people providing signposting to support services and to ensure the data systems and processes meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders., * Enhanced DBS check.
• Must be able to travel, using public or other forms of transport where they are viable, or by holding a valid UK driving licence with access to own.
