Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Android Developer to own the mobile experience and help define how AI feels, behaves and performs on mobile.

You’ll be building a production AI application where streaming, latency, reliability and non-deterministic behaviour are fundamental to the product.

What You’ll Do

Build and maintain production Android applications using Kotlin.
Integrate LLMs, voice, vision and AI-powered features through backend APIs.
Build UX for streaming responses, retries, partial results and long-running workflows.
Work closely with backend and ML engineers on APIs and system behaviour.
Optimise performance, memory usage and responsiveness.
Implement analytics, logging and feedback mechanisms to improve AI performance.
Explore on-device AI using MLKit / TensorFlow Lite.

Requirements

Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML features, such as LLMs, speech or vision.
Strong Coroutines and Flow experience.
Experience with REST/gRPC APIs.
Strong debugging and performance profiling skills.
Comfortable building products dealing with latency, partial failures and non-deterministic behaviour.
Experience with MLKit or TensorFlow Lite is a plus.
Experience shipping production apps to the Google Play Store.
