About the RoleWe are seeking a highly organized, seasoned professional to serve as our Center Operations Manager. In this role, you will be the operational anchor of our center-managing the day-to-day flow of the facility, ensuring a vibrant, organized, and engaging environment for students, staff, and visiting parents. Beyond the operational duties, the true reward of this role is the joy of working with our students. The Schedule Perk This position offers a predictable, highly stable afternoon schedule. It is an ideal fit for seasoned professionals, former educators, or community members seeking meaningful, structured part-time work without the stress of early morning shifts, late-night hours, or unpredictable weekend rotations. When you clock out at 7:00 PM, your work stays at the center., * Center Management & Safety: Oversee the daily flow of the classroom, ensuring the environment is organized, resource-equipped, and conducive to active learning. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by maintaining clear center policies and procedures.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support our team of high school and college-aged grading assistants. Lead by example to promote collaboration, high-quality program delivery, and continuous improvement in center practices.
  • Parent Relations: Act as a trusted, mature liaison for parents. Maintain clear communication channels to answer questions regarding schedules and student routines, fostering a supportive and welcoming community atmosphere.
  • Operations & Administration: Utilize educational administrative software to streamline daily operations, track student check-ins/attendance, manage material preparation, and assist with coordinating special center events like seasonal reading challenges and award celebrations.

Requirements

  • A Seasoned Professional: You bring life experience, mature judgment, and a steady presence to the workplace. You have proven experience in education administration, office management, team leadership, or working directly with students.
  • Excellent Communicator: You possess a polished, highly professional demeanor, exceptional organizational skills, and are completely comfortable speaking with parents and staff.
  • Tech-Proficient: You are comfortable using standard office software (Word, Excel) and can easily learn educational administrative databases to streamline record-keeping.
  • Clear Background: Because we work closely with children, employment is contingent upon successfully passing a comprehensive criminal background check.
