Job description

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support Electric Distribution operations across Colorado. This position will play an important role in transforming operational data into meaningful reporting, scorecards, dashboards, and insights that enable leadership to monitor performance and make informed business decisions.

The Data Analyst will work with data from multiple sources to develop and maintain scorecards, graphs, trend reporting, and other analytics solutions. The role will also help modernize reporting through Power BI, reporting automation, and support of Databricks/Lakehouse initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Pull data from different systems/sources and make sure it is accurate.
Update Excel reports, scorecards, graphs, and KPIs that show how Electric Distribution operations are performing.
Build and improve Power BI dashboards so leaders can easily see trends and performance.
Investigate the numbers. For example, if a KPI is down, they’ll look at the data to help explain why it is happening.
Answer data questions from leadership and provide information they can use to make decisions.
Automate manual reports so the team spends less time repeatedly pulling and updating the same information.
Help with Databricks/Lakehouse work, particularly accessing, cleaning, validating, and updating data.
Prepare information for weekly and quarterly performance reviews and participate in scorecard and leadership meetings.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in data analytics and reporting.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated experience analyzing data and producing reports, scorecards, graphs, or other performance-focused analytics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with business stakeholders and leadership to understand reporting requirements and translate data into actionable information.
Ability to manage multiple reporting, visualization, and analytics priorities in a collaborative environment.
