PKI Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an PKI Engineer with Venafi Expertise for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate must possess deep expertise in Venafi platform administration and certificate automation to securely onboard applications, reduce manual processes, and ensure PKI resiliency and compliance., * Administer and support enterprise Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) services, including certificate discovery, issuance, renewal, revocation, deployment, and retirement.

• Manage and maintain the Venafi Trust Protection Platform, including policy configuration, workflows, integrations, reporting, and access controls.
• Lead application onboarding efforts by assessing certificate requirements and implementing secure certificate management solutions across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Design and implement certificate automation solutions using Venafi APIs, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps.
• Support PKI operations, certificate authority management, platform resiliency initiatives, disaster recovery testing, and major incident resolution.
• Ensure certificate governance, compliance, and adherence to security standards for TLS/SSL certificates, cryptographic key management, and certificate authority controls.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM), and enterprise security operations.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Venafi Trust Protection Platform, including certificate lifecycle management, application onboarding, policy administration, and automation.
• Proven experience supporting PKI environments, Certificate Authorities (CA), TLS/SSL certificate management, governance, compliance, and security best practices., Access Control, Ansible, Application Programming Interface (API), Automation, Best Practices, Certificate Authorities, Certificate Issuance, Computer Science, Continuous Deployment/Delivery, Continuous Integration, Cryptography, DevOps, Digital Certificates, Disaster Recovery, Enterprise Protection, Hybrid Cloud, Information Technology & Information Systems, Internet Security, Microsoft Windows Azure, Onboarding, Operational Support, Policy Development, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Python Programming/Scripting Language, Requirements Management, SSL-TLS (Secure Socket Layer - Transport Layer Security), Security Compliance, Systems Administration/Management, Windows PowerShell

Rate Range: $60/Hour to $64/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors., Pay Details: $60.00 to $64.00 per hour
