Job description

MCS Group is looking for an experienced Integration Engineer (Contract) to support the delivery of enterprise integrations between cloud platforms, business applications and customer environments. This is a hands-on development role, ideal for someone who enjoys building APIs, integrating third-party systems and delivering scalable, production-ready solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced technology team delivering impactful integration projects, with some potential for contract extension.

The Role

Design, develop and maintain integrations between enterprise platforms
Build REST APIs, connectors and automation workflows
Develop reusable integration frameworks and best practices
Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver robust solutions

Requirements

Strong commercial hands-on development experience
Demonstrable prior experience in integration engineering, solutions engineering, or API development roles
Proven experience building and maintaining integrations
Experience using Postman (or similar tools) for API design, testing, and validation,
Hands-on experience with Python and either Kotlin or Java
Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON and modern integration patterns
Experience with authentication technologies such as OAuth2, JWT, SAML or OIDC
Ability to integrate with third-party APIs and cloud-based platforms
