Job description

We are looking for a number of Java Developers to work for a Digital consultancy across several of their key clients. You will be joining a dynamic team and contributing to the development of cutting edge applications.

The ideal candidate would have worked in the Public Sector, Civil Service or for a consultancy to be suitable for this role.

You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable software solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

Developing, testing, and deploying high-quality code primarily using Java and Spring Boot.
Designing and implementing cloud-native applications on AWS (Amazon Web Services).
Contributing to the front-end development using JavaScript.
Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and deliver new features.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Java Developer.
You will have ideally worked in the Public Sector, Civil Service or for a consultancy to be suitable for this role.
Strong working knowledge of the Spring Boot framework.
Hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
Familiarity with JavaScript for front-end development.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and agile methodologies.
Experience with Python is a significant advantage.
Familiarity with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
