Senior Data Engineer

We’re recruiting for an experience Data Engineer to join an established organisation at the start of a significant technology transformation. Technology is moving from a traditional, predominantly on-premise environment towards a modern cloud-based approach, and data and integration will be central to that journey.

This is a hands-on technical role rather than a people-management position. You’ll become the internal specialist for data and integration, working closely with the Head of Applications & Data to understand the current landscape, improve existing integrations and identify opportunities to automate manual processes.

The environment is heavily Microsoft-focused, including Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Functions and APIs. There’s also an existing SQL-based on-premise data warehouse which needs to evolve towards a modern cloud data platform, with technologies such as Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake being considered., We are particularly invested in Neurodiversity inclusion and offer reasonable adjustments in the interview process. • You’ll need strong experience designing and delivering integrations, working with ETL/ELT pipelines.
• APIs and data platforms.
• Azure experience is particularly relevant, alongside the ability to understand complex data flows and design practical solutions to business problems.

The role is based in Coventry 2 days per week (Tues and Weds) with a top end salary for £70k depending on experience.
