Java Engineer

• Develop, maintain, and support Java-based applications.
• Investigate and resolve live service incidents and production issues.
• Support and optimise batch processing activities.
• Deliver application enhancements through controlled release processes.
• Collaborate with development, testing, and support teams to ensure service stability.
• Contribute to documentation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strong experience developing and supporting Java applications.
• Solid Oracle SQL skills, including query writing and troubleshooting.
• Experience using GitLab within controlled development and release environments.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerised platforms.
• Experience supporting and administering WebLogic application servers.
• Proven ability to manage live service issues and BAU support activities.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Comfortable working within complex enterprise environments.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Shell Scripting for operational or batch-processing tasks.
• Knowledge of Maven for build and dependency management.
• Experience working in Linux environments and using command-line tools.
• Manual end-to-end testing experience.
• Documentation creation and maintenance experience.
