Cybersecurity Specialist - Systems Integrator Client

Primary Skills OverviewOur client is in the middle of a large-scale cloud modernization initiative, migrating enterprise data from on-premises environments to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) The primary focus of this role is designing and building data ingestion and ETL pipelines that move data from on-prem systems into cloud-based data platforms, ultimately landing in BigQueryData is currently being replicated from on-prem environments into Azure SQL and, where feasible, directly into GCP This role owns the ingestion and movement of data into the raw/bronze data layer Downstream data curation and reporting responsibilities are handled by separate teamsThe ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud data, modern data engineering practices, and a strong understanding of both batch and real-time data processing This person should be solutions-oriented, capable of recommending improvements and best practices rather than simply executing predefined user storiesKey Responsibilities* Design and develop data ingestion pipelines to move data from on-premises systems to GCP-based data platforms* Build an, including: o SQL data warehouseso APIs and external data feedso IBM iSeries/DB2 databaseso Excel and other file-based sources* Develop and optimize batch and near real-time data pipelines using Python and cloud-native services* Implement and support, reporting, and analytics* Recommend architectural improvements, automation opportunities, and data engineering best practicesEnvironment & Technology* SSIS* Google Cloud Platform (GCP)* BigQuery* Python* Dataflow* Datastream* Apache Airflow* CI/CD PipelinesEquivalent experience in AWS or Azure environments is acceptable, provided candidates have strong experience migrating data from on-premises systems into cloud platformsRequired Qualifications* Strong SQL and data modeling fundamentals, must have SSIS* Proven experience with cloud data migration projects, preferably into GCP environments* Strong background in data ingestion, ETL/ELT development, and data integration* Advanced Python development skills* Experience with cloud-native data ingestion and orchestration tools such as: o Dataflowo Datastreamo Airflowo Azure Data Factoryo AWS Glueo Similar cloud-based services* Experience building a, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsNice to Have* Experience developing API integrations and managing data movement across systems* Experience with Databricks implementations or data platform modernization initiatives* Consulting or partner experience support
