Network Engineer I

We are seeking an Entry-Level Network Engineer to support enterprise-scale infrastructure in a global production environment. This role provides hands-on experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and automating network services supporting enterprise platforms within the F5 Digital organization.

You will collaborate with senior engineers within our Infrastructure team and contribute to operational excellence, reliability, and performance optimization initiatives. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals seeking to develop expertise in network operations and engineering.

This role is Seattle, WA-based and offers a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers)

• Monitor and analyze network traffic and performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities

• Support configuration management and change control processes

• Contribute to network automation initiatives using industry-standard tools

• Maintain accurate documentation and network topology diagrams

• Respond to and resolve network-related incidents and service requests

• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and collaborative problem-solving with the team

• Support the deployment and monitoring of network services in production environments

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

• Strong foundational understanding of networking technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)

• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and/or Python scripting language

• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity practices, network administration, and troubleshooting methodologies

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic technical environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in emerging AI technologies for network management

• CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification

• Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools

• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments

The annual base pay for this position is: $71,100.00 - $106,700.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change., $100,000.00 per year
