Technical Support Engineer, Entry

As an Associate Technical Support Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our customers with industry-leading satellite navigation test and simulation systems. You’ll help identify and resolve a variety of hardware, software, and documentation issues while building strong technical knowledge and customer service skills. This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to develop within a collaborative, technically advanced environment.

You’ll work closely with our global support and engineering teams to investigate problems, provide solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. You’ll also be given opportunities to grow into more complex technical challenges as you gain experience in the role.

* Provide first-line technical support to customers via online portals, email, and phone.

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Reproduce, investigate, and document customer-reported issues using internal systems (e.g., Salesforce, Jira).
• Collaborate with engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems. Assist with on-site installations, integrations, and customer training as needed.
• Perform basic hardware repairs and calibration services.
• Distribute and support software and firmware updates for customer systems.
• Maintain and improve documentation and technical content available to customers.
• Generate test scenarios and configurations in response to customer needs.
• Support Professional Services delivery as required.
• Awareness of and adherence to QEHS policies and procedures. i.e. Quality, Environment, H&S and IT Security policies

• Degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., BEng, BSc, HND) in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Some practical experience in a technical support or engineering role (internship, placement, or similar).
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as power meters, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, and oscilloscopes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a range of audiences.
• Experience working with Linux-based systems.
• Exposure to satellite navigation (GNSS) systems or related technologies.
• Experience using tools such as Salesforce and Jira.
• Interest in systems integration and customer-facing engineering.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to read and interpret technical documentation and standards.
• A team player who values collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Eager to learn and open to feedback.
• Takes ownership of tasks and follows through to resolution.
