Senior Design Engineer

Our client is expanding its engineering teams in response to continued growth, new product development and increased production capacity. The successful Senior Design Engineer will develop new and existing mobile recycling machinery, contributing innovative solutions across design, manufacturing, testing and product improvement. This is a strong opportunity for a Design Engineer who is ready to take the next step up into a senior role., * Develop new products and modifications to existing mobile recycling machinery.

• Apply QFD, FMEA, design for manufacture, prototype development and field testing standards.
• Ensure products meet required standards for safety, function and reliability.
• Improve designs to reduce manufacturing costs, working with production, purchasing and suppliers.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints promptly.

• Degree educated or equivalent in Engineering.
• Experience using 3D solid modelling CAD, ideally CREO, and familiarity with PDM systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience in mobile tracked equipment or recycling machinery is advantageous.
• Creative, innovative and able to identify technical and commercial risks.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate across multifunctional teams and meet deadlines.
• A Design Engineer looking to step up into a senior role would be well suited to this opportunity.
